D'Alfonso-Curran Wines

2013 D'Alfonso-Curran Chardonnay Barrel Fermented

2013 D'Alfonso-Curran Chardonnay Barrel Fermented

Aged in 100% new French Oak barrels for 31 months, this wine is a beautifully crafted Chardonnay.

Ripe white peach, freshly baked pastries, apricots and hazelnuts with notes of green apple and honeysuckle and hints of vanilla and clove.  Expansive, yet graceful, in the mouth with beautifully integrated tannins and a long, elegant finish.

Pair with rich shellfish dishes, butter-poached spiny lobsters, creamy risotto with crab, and soft cheeses.  A favorite at D-C Winery: Fresh ricotta cheesecake with a hazelnut crust drizzled with Mexican Cajeta.  Just no lemons in your pairings please!

Date Bottled: July 18, 2016

This delicate chardonnay is an absolutely delicious vanilla-lemon buttercream layer-cake in a bottle! Will pair perfectly with any seafood and I can't wait to try it with fresh scallops! Mmm.
